Hydor - Longship

Hydor is an MGA and insurance company that offers marine insurance. Hydor’s primary product is fixed-price P&I, which is liability insurance for ships, covering potential damage a ship may cause to third parties, including crew and the environment.

Hydor has established a leading position within the fixed-price segment, which, unlike the traditional, mutual liability insurance that dominates the market, is tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized ships and shipping companies. The fixed-price element also provides increased predictability for the customer, which has contributed to the growth and market share of this segment.

Hydor is headquartered in Oslo, with offices and presence globally. Longship invested in Hydor in April 2022, in partnership with Hydor’s founders.
