Gexcon enables precise risk evaluation of explosions and dispersions with its world-leading software suite. Over the past decade, it has become the leading authority on explosion and dispersion risks for emerging energy carriers such as hydrogen, ammonia, and batteries. The software is based on an accumulated NOK 800 million investment in R&D and a testing database of over 1,000 real explosion and gas release events, which has primarily been directed to development of the world-leading 3D and CFD-based simulation software series FLACS.

Longship became the majority owner of Gexcon in 2021. Together with Longship, almost a quarter of the company’s employees have invested in the company.
